QR Scan/Station ID Error Prompts
When starting a charging session, you may encounter error messages while scanning the QR code or entering the Station ID. Below is a quick guide to what these errors mean and what you can do next.
Charger is Out of Order
Meaning:
- The charger is currently offline.
What to do next:
- Try another nearby charger, if available.
- If you’re at a multi-port station, check if other ports are working.
If the issue persists, please contact AmpUp Support or the site host for assistance.
Charger start failed - private charger not setup. Please contact site host
Meaning:
- This charger is set to private and hasn’t been configured for public or guest access.
What to do next:
- Contact the site host to request access or permission to use the charger.
If you require any assistance, reach out to AmpUp Support for help
License inactive
Meaning:
- The charger requires an active license from the site host. The license may not be set up, or it has expired, which prevents the charger from operating.
What to do next:
- Contact the site host to inform them that the charger’s license needs to be activated or renewed.
If you’re unable to reach the site host, you may also contact AmpUp Support for further assistance.
Station ID is Invalid
Meaning:
- The Station ID entered doesn’t match any active charger in our system. This may happen due to a mistyped number, a hidden or worn Station ID label, or a temporary communication issue with the charger.
What to do next:
- Double-check the Station ID on the charger label
- Make sure you’re entering it exactly as shown (case-sensitive, no extra spaces)
- Try scanning the QR code instead, if available.
If the issue continues, contact AmpUp Support with the location and the Station ID displayed on the charger so we can verify it for you.
Private Charger
Meaning:
- The charger is a privately owned station, not part of the public AmpUp network. Access may be restricted, and you may need permission from the owner to use it.
