If you’re a site host, you can easily set pricing for your EV chargers through the AmpUp Community Manager. Hosts on Core and Pro plans can charge drivers by time (per hour) or by energy (per kWh).
Step 1: Log In and Select Location
- Log in to your Community Manager account.
- Go to the Locations tab in the left-hand menu.
- If you want your pricing to apply to the general public, ensure your Public toggle is ON.
- If you want to restrict access to specific drivers (e.g., employees or residents), set the Public toggle OFF and use access groups or codes.
Step 2: Manage Access Groups and Pricing

In the Locations tab, click Access Groups at the top of the page.

You can use the default Public Pricing or create custom groups and access codes with specific pricing for each.
Step 3: Set a Maximum Fee (Optional)

You can set a Max Fee to limit how much a driver can be charged per session.
Step 4: Choose Pricing Method
Decide how you’d like to charge drivers:

By Energy (kWh) — charge based on the electricity dispensed.

By Time (Hour) — charge based on the time plugged in after the session starts.
Step 5: Save Your Changes

Don’t forget to click Save before exiting the page!

Repeat these steps for each location you manage.
