Q: How do I set up my AmpUp account?
A: Users can sign up by registering a new email and password, or with single-sign on
services from Apple or Google.
Your charging host may send an email to you directly as well to sign up for AmpUp.
Q: How do I find available public chargers near me?
A: Users can find publicly accessible stations near by tapping the Location Arrow icon
on the mobile app, and scrolling the map to find stations closest to them. By tapping the
Information button, users can reference the Map Legend to determine which stations
are publicly available and which are in-use or offline. Additionally, once a station is
selected in the mobile app users can see details such as pricing, food options near
them, as well as start navigation to plan your trip.
Q: How do I set up payment for the charging stations I want to use?
A: AmpUp authorizes payment for credit cards as well as mobile payment systems
Apple Pay and Android Pay. Users can add, adjust, or delete payment options by
selecting their profile icon on the home screen, and accessing ‘Payments & RFID’ in the
settings page. All customer payment information is secured by a trusted payments
provider and never shared with third-parties. Additionally, users can add or order a new RFID card to make charging easier at RFID-enabled stations.
Q: I have an app and I have an account. How can I reserve a charger?
A: Users can reserve a charging station by first searching and selecting the charging
station site they’d like to make a reservation at. Once selected, the user can press the
‘Reserve’ button and determine their arrival time as well as how long they plan to
charge for. To make reservations easier, users can also can bookmark chargers that
you frequently visit.
*Note: Not all locations allow reservations, and the reservation feature may not be activated depending on the site host. Some site hosts may also limit the number of hours you can charge at their location.
Q: How can I narrow down my search for the available chargers?
A: Users can select the ‘Filter Icon’ to narrow down their search of charge stations by
plug type, network, public availability, and more.
Q: In which countries does the AmpUp app work?
A: AmpUp has mobile app users all over the world, including but not limited to: United

Q: How to start a charging session?
A: Once the user has plugged their EV into the charger, they will open the AmpUp app and scan the QR code from the AmpUp-branded decal on the front of the unit. The app will automatically open to the QR scanning page. The user will need to point their phone’s camera at the code.
The user will then select Start in the app and the charging session will begin.
Once the session is complete, the user will be billed at the listed rate for the session.
Q: How do I activate my AmpUp account?
A. After signing up, the users will receive an activation email from AmpUp. Users will need to click the activation link in that email to confirm the account. Once confirmed, users will be able to log in to the AmpUp app and start using the account.
Q. How do I delete my AmpUp account?
A: To delete the account, open the AmpUp mobile app, navigate to Settings > Profile > E-Mail, and then tap Delete in the top right corner.
Q. How do I enable my camera?
A: On iOS: Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera, select the AmpUp app, and toggle the switch to enable access.
On Android: Open Settings > Apps > AmpUp > Permissions, select Camera, and set it to Allow.
