This guide explains how to manage access roles for your AmpUp Dashboard and how to update or transfer the Site Host role.
1. Updating the Primary Site Host Role
The Site Host role holds full administrative access to the AmpUp Dashboard and is strictly dedicated to one person per account.
Because of the high-level security permissions attached to this primary role, Site Host information cannot be changed directly within the self-service dashboard.
How to Request a Site Host Change:
- The current Site Host must send an email to sitehosts@ampup.io.
-
In the email, please provide the details for the new designated Site Host:
- Full Name
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- An AmpUp representative will verify the current Site Host information and update the primary host records using our secure internal system.
2. Adding & Managing Dashboard Roles
In addition to the primary Site Host, the AmpUp Dashboard supports three additional operational roles:
- Manager: General administrative access and management capabilities.
-
Finance Manager: Dedicated access to financial oversight and reporting.
Note: The Finance Manager role can only be assigned to one person, regardless of how many locations your account manages. - Operator: Standard access for day-to-day operations.
1. Navigate to Roles: Must be logged in as Site Host.
Log in to the AmpUp Dashboard at community.ampup.io using your Site Host credentials. From the main menu, select the Roles tab.
2. Open User Setup:
Click the green Add Users button located in the top-right corner of the page. A setup window will appear.
3. Enter User Details & Role:
Fill in the required information for the new user:
- Full Name
- Email Address
- Role: Click the Roles dropdown menu to display the list of available roles and select the appropriate one (Manager, Finance Manager, or Operator).
4. Assign Locations (Optional):
If your organization manages multiple sites, use the Location field to restrict the user’s access to a specific location.
5. Send Invitation:
Review the details and submit the form to issue an activation email to the new user.
3. Account Activation & Troubleshooting
Activating the New Account
- Once added, the new user will automatically receive an activation link at the email address provided.
- Action Required: The user must click the activation link in their email to complete setup. It is not possible to log in or access the AmpUp Dashboard until the account is activated.
