Service and processing fees play a crucial role in facilitating transactions on the AmpUp platform.
Here's a breakdown of what they are and who pays for them:
What are Service and Processing Fees?
Service and processing fees are charges incurred to cover various costs associated with facilitating transactions on the AmpUp network. These costs include credit card processing fees, accounting expenses, and other related operational overheads.
Who Pays Service and Processing Fees?
With the introduction of a new feature, site hosts using AmpUp now have the flexibility to decide who bears the service and processing fees. This empowers site hosts to customize their pricing strategy while ensuring the sustainability of the AmpUp network.
For Pro Plan Locations, site hosts have the option to absorb the service and processing fees on behalf of the drivers. By toggling on the "Site Host Pays Network and Processing Fees" setting under Location Settings, site hosts can cover these fees using the pricing they set, and the driver will not pay any additional service fees.
Benefits of Choosing to Pay Service and Processing Fees:
By opting to pay the service and processing fees for drivers, site hosts contribute to enhancing the overall user experience on the AmpUp platform. This approach aligns with AmpUp's mission to maintain competitive pricing and attract more stations to the network and more drivers your chargers.
How to Change the Setting:
Site hosts can easily adjust the payment setting for service and processing fees by following these steps:
- Navigate to Locations in your AmpUp dashboard.
- Select Location Settings for the desired location.
- Toggle on the “Site Host Pays Network and Processing Fees” option.
- Drivers will no longer be charged service fees on their receipts and the fees will be automatically removed from site host revenue.
